The more time you spend with the language you want to learn, the quicker you will pick it up...as simple as that.

Just like with everything else, learning a foreign language starts with the desire. If you are learning it against your will, you won't learn it.

Another common thing that gets in the way is our self-consciousness and fear of making mistakes. This is one of the reasons children soak up languages and new words like sponges.

The more mistakes you make, the better your language will get and the less restrained you will feel.
